WHAT'S GSTONE?
The “G” in Gstone stands for “Gathering”, like a mythical rune stone that brings heroes together for a grand adventure. And gathering is the heart of the app. Gstone app is like the mythic rune stone, it makes it easier for board game adventurers - new and veteran players alike - to find the games they want to play, gamers to play with and game locations for everyone!
WHY GSTONE?
- As mentioned (AL: Assuming people actually bothered to read the last part.), Gstone is short for Gathering Stone, a magical rune stone that gathers players around to enjoy board games! And that really sums up what Gstone is about...creating an app that helps the gaming community become, well, a community!
- Our team has put in a lot of time and effort (JL: And money!) into making a board game tool for our community, an app that aims to take care of all your board game related needs: basic game info, rules, video intros, finding fellow gamers to play with, gathering gamers for new game events, etc. And all of this is FREE for gamers! (JL: Wait, free? Are we sure about that??? JJ: yea, the best things in life are free)
- And we have big plans to add even more great features – such as developing a “personal growth” system for games, should you decide to track your gameplays and performance. We’re also planning on developing ladder systems to help you trace your board game path.
- And adding more languages, the list goes on! (AL: That sounds like a lot, who is gonna do all that work...oh, wait....)
- Additionally, and more importantly, we want to help the global board game community grow – we are seriously passionate about games! (DB: in fact, I was delayed in writing this by an awesome 5 hour game of Warrior Knights!)

- Other than the normal game pic/info/description…we added: fast & quick sort, organized rulebook, lots of video links, tons of game lists, and a cool comments section.
- Game Events: players can find game events/game nights nearby. We are working on gathering hosts (including tabletop game cafes and private organizers) to post game events on Gstone for players to attend. Eventually we’ll do it for game matches/conventions too!
- Players: find players in your area and you can IM them in the app! And become a fan of the publishers and designers to follow updates. You can even see their game moments!
- You can now choose to record and share your gameplay! Score your win or jot the MVP moment forever! We’ll make a cool ladder system out of it too~
