About Us
Gstone is an app made from passion - the passion of our founders and the people who are working with us to strengthen the gaming community. The five founding partners are veteran gamers, and have long been gatherers with a combined game hosting experience of over 60 years. And we really know the pain points of gathering gamers to game... (JJ: Does this make me sound old?) The gatherer has a lot of work: finding a place, synchronizing schedules, gathering peeps, and obtaining/learning/teaching the game. To make our lives easier, we developed Gstone to help players and gatherers alike to save time and effort in preparing a game gathering. As passionate gamers, we also realize the pain on the other side: you, a gamer who wants to play, but you are in a new you want to play! (AL: If you are nearby, also to come play a game or two) Finally, the true reason for Gstone is about the gaming community. We are really, really, really passionate about that. Why else take time out of our busy gaming schedule? Simply put, we want to see the game community grow. And after lengthy research, interviewing gamers, gatherers, game store owners, gaming industry peeps, etc., we discovered that the lack of one consolidated board game platform is one of the key barriers to really expanding the board game community. One ring . . . errrr . . . platform to rule them all! And hence the birth of the gathering stone – a shining light, a beacon of hope for the board game community to rally around! Gstone’s founding team, all of them are serious table games enthusiasts. The development of board game market in China is relatively blank. All members have more than five years of entrepreneurial experience, more than 10 years of table games organizational experience, and have organized offline board game activities more than 1000 times. They integrate the upstream and downstream resources of board game industry, and their vision is: Make board game bring happiness to everyone-
